Title: Recent progresses in multi-domain machine translation.Presentation: François Yvon is a senior CNRS researcher. He conducts his research within the Spoken Language Processing Group group of the LISN (formerlly LIMSI) in Orsay. His recent research work focuses on machine translation using statistical and neural methods - and more generally on machine learning applied to multilingual language data, whether written or oral. He leads the activities of a team composed of about ten researchers, doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows. Previously, Francois Yvon was general director of LIMSI (from July 2013 till december 2019), Professor in computer science at Université Paris-Saclay (from 2007 to 2013), and Assistant-Professor in Computer Science at Télécom Paris (from 1996 till 2007).
He is the author of about thirty articles in scientific journals and about 200 papers in international conferences; he has also supervised or co-supervised about twenty Ph.D students, and been involved, as PI or as research investigators, in dozens of collaborative projects with the academia and the industry, at the national and international levels.
