Most of our chair proposals have been developed in close interaction with one or several industrial partners. We also plan to devote resources to funding emerging projects developed in partnership with industrial partners. More generally, MIAI Grenoble Alpes will play the role of the unique entry point for industrial partners, to develop research, transfer activities, as well as education programmes in AI.
Collaboration with private partners is organised within the research programmes and relies on three main instruments:
To foster exchanges and networking between all partners involved in AI, the institute will also create and run the Grenoble AI Open Community to organise regular information networking events and meetups. In addition to the quarterly scientific/technological breakfasts already mentioned (open to MIAI members only), we will create yearly MIAI Days to accelerate initiatives on a specific topic through scientific presentations, hackathons, industrial booths and business pitches to investors, large companies and incubators. Such events will rely on the innovation clusters of the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (e.g.
Minalogic) and the
FrenchTech in the Alps community, and will be widely open.
