Call for support from Research Engineers

Call for projects Research
March 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025
MIAI Cluster is launching a call for projects to support some research projects by offering the services of research engineers for a limited period, open to the UGA, UCA and USMB communities at large.
MIAI Cluster would like to support AI-related research projects by providing the time of a half-engineer on the project for 6 months to carry out software development.
For the project to be selected, the data and algorithms must already be available. The role of these engineers is not that of a post-doc or experimental researcher, so that in 6 months (with half an engineer), results can be available.

Please note that these engineers are attached to GRICAD and are available for several projects. For the projects selected, face-to-face interaction with members of the project and within the laboratories is desirable and strongly encouraged. The salaries of the engineers are paid by MIAI Cluster. However, in the case of missions linked to the supported projects, the mission expenses will be charged to these projects.

The selection will be based on the scientific quality of the project supported and the impact of the support of research engineers on the success of the project.
Proposals should be prepared using the attached template. Applications are open all year round. Assessment and ranking of the proposals will be carried out by the a dedicated committee within MIAI Cluster. The decision will be communicated rapidly after the deadlines.
